7 Months

Colston and Miles turn 7 months old tomorrow. Colston's 2 teeth are no longer giving him any issues and Miles still hasn't cut any teeth. Eating solids is going great. The only thing we get faces on now are the meats. I have to admit they smell so I don't blame them for the faces when they eat them. Miles did give up his pacifier shortly after the 6 month post we are now "nuk" free. Sleeping is still going well. We have the boys on a great schedule now. They eat three times a day 10:00, 2:00, 6:00 with an extra bottle at 10 pm. They eat 2 tbsps of cereal and 4 oz of combination fruit/veggies/or meat at each sitting and either a 4 oz or 6 oz bottle depending on the meal. It seems to be working as the boys are still growing at a good pace.

Colston = 19 pounds 6 ounces
Miles = 19 pounds 2 ounces

Colston continues to sleep on his side and Miles sleeps on his stomach. Miles loves to rock...not in a chair with a person but all alone. He rocks back and forth when sitting on the floor and in the entertainers. He rocks so much that he can move the entertainer some good distance. As a contrast Colston loves to jump. He jumps in his entertainer so much the toys shake. They are both very active boys! When they do get tired Colston has to have his blanket and Miles still stratches his head. He also has started sucking his own wrist which is interesting. Both boys love to scream. Happy screams but scream none the less. Miles starts around 5am as he is an early riser like his grandpa. We generally wait until 6 or 7 to bring Miles downstairs. We still find Colston with a blanket pulled over his head to try and drown out Miles happy go morning screams.
I try to get the boys out at least once each day so if the nanny doesn't take them for a walk I will try to after work. Sometimes it a tight fit after they have eaten dinner and before their bath and bedtime. One day this week I actually had BOTH of them fall asleep during our 15 minute walk. This weekend we wore our Purdue gear for the first time. We like to think their victory over Ball State was due in part to them wearing their new outfits from Gale and Denny. (Sorry Char and Sam) Gale and Denny -- thanks so much for the outfits. They are cute! Colston figured out how to remove his bib and use it as a blanket. It was hard to get a picture of the boys looking at the camera because they were actually watching football on the tv.... We also got to wear our outfits from Uncle Johnny this month. They are the ones with the crab and the whale. During that picture shoot Miles fell over and Colston was trying to scratch his head for him. I guess he has seen Miles do this a time or two and thought he would help out.
Neither of the boys are crawling yet. Miles rolls all over the place but neither seem to be trying to move forward yet. Miles will continuously roll until he hits something (a couch, table, or toy) and then will yelp for help because he gets stuck. He also tries to lift the bottom of the couches and roll under the couches for something new. Colston is more content to stay in one place. He is very interested in details. Like he doesn't play with the toys as much as he likes to look and feel the tags that give the washing instructions attached to the toys. He also likes to reach for the camera when I am taking pictures. Colston is still a momma's boy and cries every day when mommy gets home from work. Like he just realized that I was gone for the day and needs my attention. Weird kids but I think we'll keep them.
