Males seeking Females

Ad taken out since they didn't have any dates for Valentine's Day:

Two very devious males seek females:

First Candidate
Enjoys:
Relaxing in the recliner
Biting furniture
Looking at himself in the mirror
Blankets

Dislikes
Dinner time
Sharing

Candidate 2
Likes short walks without holding on (not on the beach)
Pointing at objects
Kissing himself on any glass object
Biting ...both furniture and sometimes his mother
Blowing raspberries during photo time
Being destructive with toys

Dislikes:
Being told no
Sleeping in late
sippy cups

I think both candidates (despite their dislikes) are handsome and great catches!! But of course I'd say that....I'm their MOM! Better luck next year with the dates boyz!

Long Overdue Updates

People always said once you had kids your life would get busier. It's been a whirlwind in our house since the beginning of the year. After recovering from all the visitors at Christmas I got busy myself. A work trip at the end of Jan followed by four days at home with Chris and the boys before flying out again for a week with my mom provided for a very busy time.

Chris was a rock star Dad when I was in Dallas for a week and handled the boys all by himself. Then I took Miles to Indiana where we spent time with Mom during her recovery. Paw Paw was sick most of the time we were there but we did spend short amounts of time with him. Paw Paw was the first to bring Miles a snowball which he first probed with his finger (he does this to everything) and then Miles took a bite out of it. Time with Grandma was lots of fun. Lots of resting for her and Miles and lots of cleaning out the basement for me. Can you believe that I still had letters from friends from 2nd grade in that basement? Five bags of trash later we cleaned out all of the old stuff! We also got visitors while at mom's. Denny & Gale, Pam & Rick, Megan, as well as Grandma Handy and Wanda. We didn't venture out much since it was cold and were able to fly out just in time to miss the blizzard of the year.

Miles took his first steps this past month and he is getting more and more brave. Colston is still a little frightened to stand without holding onto anything but he somehow (without walking) remains our little bully who steals toys. Both of the boys LOVE holding the remote control. They have eagle eyes to locate it in a room before we do. They are pretty sneaking about stealing it also. They also enjoy carrying objects around in their mouths like puppies. I mean really -- hands are used for important things like balancing along a table edge so how else are they suppose to get their toys from one place to another? Colston still is attached to a blaket and sometimes even substitues a random sock he finds on the ground or a washcloth when we are in the bathtub when he is tired. (yuck) Miles is still very against sippy cups from avent. Picture showing his displeasure is below. Both boys are doing solid table foods now which has been very interesting. Miles is more cautious about what he eats. Everything needs to be poked a few times before it goes in his mouth. He does enjoy a good bottle and sometimes has been known to fall asleep at the table since we eliminated their afternoon nap.

Picture taking has gotten more difficult due to the fact that there is always something more interesting to look at than mom with a camera. It's also hard to get two to sit still for more than 4 seconds. I'm interested to see if a photographer can do better when we take them for their 1 year photo shoot. Can you believe it's that time already? This Sunday marks the boys first birthday!! This is the time I wish family were a little closer to help us celebrate. Enjoy pictures from the last month.
