Peace at the Beach

Uncle Kevin came down to visit for a long weekend. Since Kevin always goes to the beach when he comes to visit we didn't think this trip should be any different. The weather was a little colder and much more windy than we expected but overall it was fun to watch the boys run around, chase birds, and get their shoes full of water and their jeans full of sand. It also made for some really great shots. If only the boys would have cooperated we could have had a nice family shot also.

New Orleans

Prior to the boys second birthday we took one last plane trip to New Orleans. After their second birthday we'll have to buy tickets for 4 instead of 2 so we thought we would take advantage of this last trip at half price. While in New Orleans we were able to spend lots of time with family once again. Although the boys and I got ditched during the super bowl we had better company is spending time with Lacey and Dinah. While in New Orleans the boys were introduced to "king cake" which they requested every day for breakfast. They were also exposed to their very first mardi gras parade (mom's first also). They were covered with beads by the end of the parade and miles was quite impressed with his ability to score a spear which he accidently hit a man between the legs with while swinging it around. Ooops... Miles enjoyed yelling "us, us" during the parade so that those on the float would throw something to "us". The boys were spoiled as normal. Lacey and Dinah bought the boys a wagon to use while they are in New Orleans. We were only there for a long weekend but they wore that thing out. Walk -- walk? So glad their auntie and Lacey were willing to give into their every request. :)

I also had to include two left over pictures from xmas of the boys helping me make cookies and my fav picture of them looking up at the tree from their level. :)

Christmas 2011

Been busy for the last couple of months and embarrassed to see I had not yet posted Christmas photos! Christmas was fun this year. The boys knew how to unwrap gifts and even unwrapped some all by themselves when we weren't watching them. They got a car ramp from Char and family, john deere tractors from Kev and family, and lots of stuff from Santa. Tball set, stacking blocks, elmo microphone and telephone. A talking elmo, and stocking full of fun stuff. Trudy and George were down for new years and brought noisy saints stuff and lots of sports balls. George also let the boys eat straight from the oreo container. It was a fun time!
