Halloween 2012 Arrrrrrh!

What a fun night. The boys went to a few houses and Paw Paw Bud was here again this week to walk along and pull the wagon. I need to remember to take some picture of him with the kids tomorrow. Dad has been really helpful around the house in finishing lots of my projects. We got pictures hung, my little table finally sanded and stained, and also did a pinterest project. Pictures to come on all of those. But now --- pictures from Halloween for your viewing enjoyment. No great shots this year as the boys of course didn't want to both look at the camera at the same time. They did however enjoy getting right into their pumpkins to search for lollipops the minute they got home. Thankfully the sugar rush didn't last long and they were able to get right to sleep. They are now big boys sleeping in their toddler beds for the second night in a row and potty training is going pretty well. We have good days and bad days but the good days are far outweighing the bad ones. So excited that the diaper/pull up bill has already been cut by 75%. Yeah for that but man......my babies are growing up!!!

The boys enjoyed being pirates at their daycare parade last Friday. Looking forward to dressing up again on Wednesday to walk the neighborhood. Arrrrrrh.....

The Tampa Aquarium

September was a little more relaxed around our house.  We are at the first of October already and I can't say I have much to report for the month of september.  I still haven't came to a final decision about which real estate company to work for.  I didn't want to rush it so I am still thinking it through but have narrowed it down to two.  I've come to realize I really analyze everything way to much!

For my activities it seems I have some unfinished projects.  I am completed with the stripping of the spindles on the kids' table but haven't restained it yet.  I painted a tiny bit more on the mural for the playroom but no where near completed on that.  I did accomplish deciding how to fix my wedding ring which had the stone fall out a few months back.  I expect it to return at the end of this week and am super excited to have it back again.  I completed some organizational and decorating purchases for the kitchen and bedroom but of course haven't gotten them hung just yet.

I celebrated my birthday which was funny.  Since Paw Paw's birthday was just a few weeks before mine they were confused when we told the boys it was my birthday as they thought it was still his.  We did make it out to eat dinner that night.  Gale and Denny surprised me with flowers which the boys wanted to touch instead of just smell but they survived.

The weekend after my birthday we went to the Tampa Aquarium.  We figure it's good to practice some longer drives now in preparation for our Thanksgiving trip with family.  The boys liked the Aquarium.  It wasn't very large so we were through the whole thing in less than an hour.  I'm not sure we would drive back for that one but it was a good thing to do once.

Both of the boys have been sick the last week.  Miles brought home a cold and shared it with both Colston and mommy.  Miles is still coughing so a trip to the Dr may be in his near future.  Football season started so Chris has been making great use of our Directv. The boys finally got to wear their LSU jerseys from Nate and Leslie.  I had to take about 15 pictures just to get a good one.  They didn't want to sit by each other.....then they wanted to lay down....then they wanted to jump up and down....I yelled at them in the middle of the picture session and the boys took it to heart.  Don't worry five minutes later they were happy and ready to smile.

New things this month is using various items as a camera and telling us at every meal "I don't feel good".   Miles is very focused on tv and gets upset when we turn it off.  Potty training is not going as well as we would like.  It seems like we will never be done with diapers.  We know they understand the concept but just really don't feel like participating unless we tell them it's time to go and try.  Such a process with two.
