Miles Baptism in New Orleans

The boys first 4th of July was very uneventful. We were able to go to Kelly's for a small gathering but the twins didn't partake in fireworks. In fact they were both asleep in bed by the time it was dark. The biggest step over the past few weeks has been the introduction of FOOD. We started with cereal. First night we were not very successful. Both boys ate a little but really just cried because they were hungry and wanted their bottle and didn't understand. The second night got a little better so....it also got a little messier. After four days of just cereal we decided to go for the vegetables. We started with green beans and have done carrots and are now on sweet potatoes. They are getting better with the eating every day. Miles seems to think he can suck food off of the spoon instead of actually opening his mouth. His favorite so far is sweet potatoes. He ate almost an entire container the first night he had them.
We just returned from New Orleans. We were there for a long weekend for Jeremy's wedding. The day after the wedding we baptized Miles in New Orleans. His Godparents were both able to attend. I still marvel that Jeremy made it to the baptism the day after his wedding. The boys also enjoyed wearing their fun hats from Grandma Joy.
The boys were able to spend some quality time with family. They especially enjoyed their time with Dinah and Lacey when they served as babysitters while Chris and I went to the wedding. I am not sure if they would volunteer again as they both looked exhausted when we got home at midnight.
