Easter is Here!

Could you stick an entire PEEP in your mouth when you were 1? Well - Miles proved he has this talent. In true form Colston was the polar opposite and had to have help to even get it in his mouth -- then quickly spit out.

Easter was fun this year. We were just coming off spending 2 whole weeks with Grandma Joy and we also had George and Trudy here for the weekend. The boys wore their new overall from Lacey and we did make it to church. They were a little wiggly but overall did well. They enjoyed their easter baskets. Colston was really excited about the pinwheels and played with them a lot. Miles was more into the eggs and figured out very quickly how to open them to get out goldfish crackers.

Prior to Easter the boys enjoyed dressing in their jerseys for jersey day at daycare and also get a really big kick out of their water table. The first time we used it they were soaked from head to shoes -- literally!

We are wearing some 18 month clothes now so we have been using our new birthday jammies from Granda Joy and Denny and Gale. And Miles has been enjoying using the rocking chair I had as a child. Eating is going well. Both boys eat table food and can drink out of any sippy cup. It doesn't have the be the expensive ones any longer. When they finish a meal sometimes they use their plates as a hat but we are trying not to encourage them.

Bath time is probably the most fun! Miles is in great need of a haircut so we can do some pretty good mohawks. Two weeks ago Miles & Colston were fighting over a toy in the tub and miles in a fit of rage accidently stuck his face in the water. It was pretty funny. Shortly after Colston started putting his face in the water to blow bubbles. It's funny because the will laugh and try to blow bubbles at that same time which is not always successful.

Colston finally turned a corner with his walking. He now walks with much dilberation to get from one place to another but does walk. We found out through the camera system Colston was walking at daycare but crawling at home. This changed over the last week so it's been a nice transition.

The boys continue to have their own personalities. Fighting is the new thing in the house. Especially over toys. Head butting is done a lot. They are all boy and I am sure it will only get worse. Colston thinks the word NO is the funniest thing ever and belly laughs so cute it's hard to stay serious. I've never seen a kid actually laugh in hysterics when being told no. Miles on the other hand has a tender heart and cries when he is told no. He also tries to give me a hug if I am yelling at Colston. I guess in an attempt to divert my attention.
