Countdown is on!

So I am VERY behind on posting to keep everyone up to date. Last post was 31 weeks. Since that time I have had a few things occur:

1. My OB told me that they were closing their doors 7 days before it happened. Yes -- apparently they didn't send me the "letter" so little did I know one of the Drs in the practice was leaving and the volume of patients was too large for one Dr. to handle. Therefore the one Dr left is joining another OB in the same building. This means there are now a total of 6 Drs that could deliver our babies.....five of which I have never met. Thankfully I am not the type that stresses over the little things in life. This will be my third set of OBs since I got pregnant.

2. The boys got another Ultrasound on Jan. 28th. They have both continued to grow more than either of us thought was possible. At the Ultrasound baby A weighed 5.12 and baby B weighed a hefty 6.2 pounds. We were also told once again that both of the boys have very big heads and are tall. This brought us to the question of how much longer can they possibly stay in there? The specialist recommends that I not go past week 37. They also suggested that they may need to do an amino to confirm their lungs are fully developed before inducing. At this appointment I also had my second test to view their stress levels. Neither of the boys were stressed and the trouble maker .....I mean baby A tried to kick the monitoring device off three times during the 20 minute test. They are territorial! I was only having what they call variability. No extreme contractions. Follow up NST (non-stress test) was scheduled for Feb 4th and another Ultrasound on Feb. 11th.

3. We toured the Florida Hospital Altamonte where we will be delivering and were really impressed. In the "birthing rooms" there are juccuzi tubs, big screen tvs, and all of the post labor activities will take place right in the same room. Therefore the boys will never leave our room unless there is an emergency. There is an OR on the same floor in case I need to do a C-section. Once we have the babies they will move us to another room for the duration of our stay. They estimate 48 hours total or 72 hours if I have a C -section. They have a conceirge that is available during our stay to bring us anything we need. This also includes running to 5 guys if I need a cheese burger instead of the cafeteria food. We also will have free movies & free internet. Chris gets to stay right in the room with me on a couch type bed so he can get right in on the every two hour baby crying action.

4. We have a Dr for the boys! The peditriation will come to the hospital the day after they are born. Their office is in Lake Mary about 15 minutes from our house. They come recommended from the guy who cuts my hair as he takes his son there. We will do a follow up appointment 3-4 days after they are born and again a few weeks later. Glad that is off my plate of things to do.

5. No - I haven't started interviewing nannies yet. Yes -- I know I should have by now and Chris likes to remind me every couple of days. I have 12 weeks to find one after I give birth.

6. The nursery is done!

7. The first names are picked. Still going around on the middle names.

8. The saints are going to the superbowl. Yes - historic I know. Chris is very excited. No he is not going to Miami however we will have family staying on Friday with us in route to the event. Sounds like a housefull so hopefully I don't go into labor that day. I wanted to dress the boys in Saints to come home from the hospital but our only outfits are 3-6 months so they will be too large. Can't seem to locate anything newborn as everyone is sold out of saints clothing.

So now you are all up to date. The most common question I get is "how do you feel?". Needless to say I feel like a truck beep should sound when I back up. We measured my waist and I am 48 inches around. Yes - that is 4 foot! To date I have gained a total of Days are fine for me but nights are horrible. Apart from the peeing every 2 hours now my body is giving out. My hip/leg socket pops every time I roll over from the weight. I also have to manually lift my stomach as I roll over so that it doesn't feel like it is seperating from itself. Both my legs and now my wrists fall asleep while I sleep. It's really strange feeling like you are 92 years old. That being said I am willing to keep them in as long as needed so that they are happy healthy little boys. Chris says their angels but he isn't the one that gets kicked all day. He also says that I will be treated like a queen once they arrive. I don't think that's going to happen for quite some time. I am fully prepared to be the ugly Cinderella for at least a couple of months until the routine sets in. All in all as my mother in law says --- It will all be worth it!! Today marks week 35 so only a few more left!! I'll try to get some pictures within the next few days.
